mulegolf I thought that having a plate, screws and a bolt in my ankle would slow me down at the airport but they just asked if I had plates or screws that held broken bones and when I said Yes, they waived me through.
I have metal in my shoulder and knee (after tomorrow, both knees). When I go thru the "normal" walkthrough sensors, they buzz and I have to get manually scanned with a wand. When I stand in the sensors that require me to hold my hands up and it spins around me, they let me through.
