Typhoon that causes people to hit low hooks
This post may sound like I have things figured out, but that is so far from the truth it is laughable. That being said...
I have the exact opposite problem with hybrids -- I tend to hit low fades, bordering on slices with them, whereas I hit the rest of my irons really straight (maybe a very small cut). I think what happens is that when I look at a hybrid head I think FWs, and I move the ball up in my stance. What ends up happening is that I get the ball too far forward, which, for me, almost always results in a fade/push-slice.
I think the reason I may have been having better luck yesterday is that I have gone to a really open stance in the last couple of games (and I'm LOVING it). The ball is placed consistently across from the back right heel. That consistent, rearward ball placement, along with the consistent AoA generated by the SL irons, I think may be what caused the better strikes.
Then again, with this game, tomorrow I'll have a different solution, and probably a different problem.
