So I picked up a new Odyssey Exo Indianapolis putter. Tried it out in store, loved it. Tried it out on the putting green - loved it. Bought it. On the practice green - it is a champ. On the course, it doesn't have a clue. I played 4 rounds with it and made nothing over 4 feet.
Played 36 on Wednesday. Round 1 may have been the best ball striking round I've had in years. Had 10 birdie putts of under 20 feet. I made two - one from 2 feet, one from 1 foot.
Unfortunately for the Exo, I still had my rummage sale haul from the weekend in my truck, which included a beat up Rife Guerin 2 Bar mallet. That went into the bag for round 2, While my ball striking wasn't as good, I made a couple of 15 footers for birdies, and several 5-10 foot par savers. Still missed a few <10 foot birdies of course. But I ended up with 4 fewer putts with the same # of GIRs.
I love the look and feel of the Exo, but how long would you give it to start making putts?
