If say go for it, live without regret. That being said, i like fun courses, that are in good condition. I don't care about all of the history and pageantry (gorgeous clubhouse, perfectly manicured, staff dressed well, pre round speech, etc., Etc.), And if the course is so hard at expense of being fun, forget about it. Too many good--great courses that cost $40-100 that I'd never need to play the Torrey,s, Whistling,s, pebbles, and Pinehurst,s of the golf world.
