PA-PLAYA - actually the same here so I'm ok since CBS carries the Chiefs and the regular PGA tour stops on the weekends. But we still do NOT have Fox or NBC.
I'm now SOL on watching the FedEx this weekend and that incited me enough to call them yesterday. I knew the c/s rep couldn't turn them back in but I wanted to be on record as really upset with whatever negotiating tactics they are employing. The poor c/s rep tried to pull different rabbits out of the hat to appease me and they bordered or riduculous.
Example: ME - I'm upset I am a sports fanatic, I subscribe to add-on sports packages, and I've already missed NBC sporting events like Wimbledon, weekend golf, NFL football, and now this weekend I'm going to miss the FedEx playoffs.
HIM: so are you aware you'll be able to watch the first 2 rounds on the Golf Channel? And are you aware the Golf Channel replays the FedEx Cup in the evenings?
ME: Give me a break! So my only option is to buy an antenna to pick up the local NBC station to watch the golf tournament and take the first steps to cord cutting and moving on from my TV package via cable?
HIM: I'm authorized to give you a $30 credit on your bill right now and that will easily cover the cost of a good antenna.
I took it now and the next rate increase in 18 months, I'm out. (I negotiated the first of the year for an internet, land line phone, sports pak, and great cable package for $126/mo including all taxes and fees. I can't match that with streaming subscriptions when added to standalone internet service.)
