If he's only making $52/hr. where he lives, then he wasn't making much to start with. He surely was getting a lot of double time/triple time pay in that final figure; time & a half would be an extra 3700+ hrs. of work. He would have been close to 3 yrs. of work in just 12 months, 111 hrs./week, which would be 16 hrs./day, every day, with no time off for the year. I'm sure the union would never allow it, so I'm doubting some of this reporting/misreporting.
This is the thing I hate most about reading articles in the paper, or hearing it on the news. There's always very important details which 'someone' fails to report. Usually that someone is the complainer.
I'm sure his pension was locked in after 20+ yrs., so even if they had fired him, he'd still get it.
And, I really do not care how many of those hours he spent at home.
