So I've been taking a few lessons each year for a few years now and went for one last night. The last lesson we focused on the driver and I felt like I improved a bit. I told the pro I had started having troubles with my hybrids though would like to work on my swing in general, but with a focus on those. So I'm hitting the hybrids and I feel like my swing is at least okay, but I'm struggling to hit them as straight as I'd like. He's got a puzzled look on his face watching me, then looks at the face of each club and says "well the good news is your swing looks ok, but the bad new is the faces of your hybrids have deformed".
Seriously? I should be shocked, but previously my meager swing speed deformed a Ping G25 and Ping G30 driver along with an old Wishon 7 wood. The pro tells me this happens regularly these days with faces getting thinner and thinner, but I rarely hear of anyone I know with this trouble.
Calling Callaway customer service today and hoping they'll do something despite the clubs being at least 3 years old (XR OS from 2016). I bought them from this same pro, but he says their customer service is much more responsive to customers than fitters. Fingers crossed.
