Very sad. Heard it on ESPN Radio this morning on my way up to the club. Very odd that some sort of cause of death isn't at least being offered, I guess they're awaiting an official autopsy to confirm.
He'd been with the company for a long time, a familiar face, a familiar voice... spent many a Sunday watching Sports Reporter and enjoyed his style and contributions. A lot of people from various networks took the time today to remember him... talking about how he helped them get into the business, how he mentored them, how he took the time to connect with them even when they no longer worked together, etc. By all accounts he was a good guy who touched a lot of people in a tremendously positive way... one of the founding board members of the Jimmy V foundation, come to think of it. I just played in a Jimmy V fundraiser back on Monday.
RIP
