It would not help here, as more are coming into the region and housing price had been going up. And we had passed a school levy, not for a new school, not for students, but for a new administration building for the school district. That will not increase our property value at all.
When the County is short on finances, they're not tightening up on spending, but continue to propose new levy, new tax. As for new school levies. It had been none stop since my kids were in elementary schools. Now a brand new ( 5 years old ) elementary school shut down for not meeting the enrollment numbers projected for the next 4 years. Some parents are not happy since now they have to bus their children to another elementary location farther away. Some are angry, because they bought their house based on the schools and the proximity. Anyway. When someone in a corporate environment screwed up the budgets, he/she will most likely be let go. Not in givernment.
