Typhoon A blower really wouldn't work at my place. The houses on both sides are only 4' from edge of my driveway(s). Nowhere to throw it, and my garage is in back... long driveway.
I do like using the shovel as it cleans down to concrete, leaves nothing, like a blower does. I have the only clear drive in the neighborhood after snow. Everyone else has a blower. And I'm usually done before they are. Go figure.

Par4QC Hopefully you have a small driveway. That sucks when the houses are that close together and you have no place to blow snow unless you can aim the chute low. When I was a kid I’d go out every couple hours and shovel a couple inches at a time. End of the driveway sucked from the plow

Those bastards sit down at end of street watching my drive, to see when I clear it. So it seems. If I go out 3 times, they will go by 3 times!! cksuckers

I have a long drive, but only single car width til past the house. Then about 20' of almost double.

They plow the other side of my street first which drastically reduces the snow on my side.
My kid’s house is like @Par4QC. He is getting a blower this year but here’s the kicker. His driveway is across the street from a corner lot. He plans on blowing it there.

Rex, we should have had you count how many times you cut the lawn and then compare it to how many times you shovel.

My driveway is basically 3 cars wide by 3 cars long and the wind blows in one direction. I start on one side, do 2 -3 passes chute aimed low against the wind so I don’t get pummeled and then the rest goes the other way. I have an Ariens that I swear has a Hemi..

Have one of these. One minute to install. Light weight aluminum. Had it for about 15 years. Fits on Reese type hitch. Can even put on rear of vehicle.

jsippy73 I’ve seen the ones that attach to the trailer hitch. Funny story… the John Deere tractor plow I sold for $300, had a typical “Manuel Perez” from FB Marketplace send me a $50 offer because he thought he could hook it up to his car🙄

Typhoon how many times you shovel.

It's not so much as how many times, it's the amount each time. Just a few years ago, I went out and shoveled once(that particular snow). Had 16", and did it with shovel in 1 session. I may have a pic on my other PC of how high it was piled in the yard.

My driveway is about 150 feet long and about 4 cars wide up by the garage. Can plow it all in about 5 minutes. Plus I live in the (Snow Belt) area.

Well, this past week I purchased a couple green 'astronomy' laser pointers, and a mount for one of them. I will be setting one up with the mount i also purchased onto my telescope so I don't need to try to look through the red dot finder. Telescope is already really low, unless I put it on something like a low table. I'm more than a little bit too tall for this telescope, so I'll find ways to do thi as without having to bed over so much.
