I should point out that I called today to see what they could do. Since I ordered a head and shaft as components and assembled it myself, they would not take it back. Understandable, I guess. They did offer me up to 70% of the cost of the components in merchandise, so I ordered 3 graphite wood shafts. Better than nothing, I figured. Meanwhile,
I'll figure out something with the club.....

I bought a tank full of gas at Krogers today for $.69 per gallon using my Kroger points.

Back when I was in high school I worked at a gas station (25 years ago). Gas was $.99 a gallon. When I came through town today it was down to $1.33 that’s the cheapest (without discounts) I’ve seen it a looooooooong time.

I remember the "gas wars" back in the 60's,where every major intersection in HB had a gas station on each corner.
The prices sometimes got down as low as 18-20 cents a gallon.
And Chevron Supreme at 106 octane was like $.36 a gal.,I thought back then...."Who'd ever pay that much for gas"!

The prices sometimes got down as low as 18-20 cents a gallon.

Plus you got your windshield cleaned, oil checked and got stamps or a glass. I was 16 in 1965 and had a '58 Ford Interceptor that had a carb as big as a trash can and I got 8 MPG. I could still go a long way on $2 at $.19/gal.

May 1969 I bought my first car. A 1969 Mustang Mach I. I paid 27 cents a gallon for gasoline to fill it up. It held at that price for the rest of the summer.

you put those carrots and potatoes in your smoker as well?

colej I don’t have a smoker. I am using a regular gas grill with foil packs with apple wood chips. For the next hour I will have the corned beef brisket in there with a drip pan underneath catching the drippings. The pan has a little beef bone broth in it, but I will be putting the carrots and potatoes in it after the hour is up. Hopefully it turns out good !
