Just an FYI about these heads....I've found them to be very high launching, and have played them for several years, off and on. So, be wary of the loft you'd buy.

I bought a medium bucket of range balls today. First time swinging a club since Oct. I didn't expect much and I wasn't disappointed. I suck. The only positive was the the new Ping 410 driver felt nice and it was the only club I hit half way decent.

Did my first cook with this thing yesterday and am impressed. The insulation allows it to maintain temperatures rock solid. I cooked some chicken thighs at 350 degrees for an hour last night after spending about 20 minutes gradually opening the vents until the temp. was reached (I'm just learning with this grill) and they were perfect. Once done with them, I opened the vents up another notch and the temp increased to 450 and stabilized in a couple of minutes and then I grilled some fresh pineapple. Like cooking with an oven, but with smoke. Looking forward to smoking some baby back ribs now. Now I can finally see what all of the hubbub is about with the ceramic egg grills.

Par4QC It's not ceramic, but double-walled insulated steel. Took a couple hours to put together due to some off center bolt holes (read that as getting all 8 bolts in the hinge started was a bastage). I was just about to open up a few holes with a drill bit when I tried one last time and got the worst one started. Supposed to be mainly stainless steel, but I'm sure it won't last a lifetime. I paid $279 two weeks ago, then saw last week it was $229, and now it doesn't even show on the Char-Broil website. I guess they closed them out. Even if I get five years out of it I'll be super happy as I love the way the temperature control and stability is.

Most people don't realize there are around 20 grades of stainless steel. Magnets can tell you the best grade, it won't stick.
Problem with grills and such are the darn bolts/hardware that rust away.

And I, being a cheap bastage, don't consider $279 'el cheapo'. Looks like a darn good one.

...back to golf. I liked the looks of the 56° Cleveland CBX Full Face wedge that I bought enough that I ordered a 60° yesterday. I think that may end my golf purchases for this season unless I pull the trigger on a screen, projector and new golf mats to set up a simulator in my garage. I've been researching for a week or so now but I haven't bought anything yet.

edit: Delivered...I thought this shaft would be Penley's old Tour Light model. Almost positive it is their old Stealth 70, which is a plus.

Bought a Titleist 818 hybrid earlier in the week, and had my first opportunity to hit it on the golf course earlier today. The initial results were pretty promising - hit several good shots, ball flight seems to be what I'm looking for, and I like the look and feel of the club.
