When I lived on Langley AFB as a kid, we were in NCO Housing near the water (Chesapeake Bay outlet - Back River). We'd fish and crab off the NCO Club pier. I had a buddy who always had M80s (not sure why, tho). When we'd catch a blowfish off the bottom, those nasty bastards would swallow your hook, so we had to cut the line and re-gear. We'd like to put an M80 in the blowfish's mouth, light the fuse and "release" him back to the river.........the anticipation as we waited for the depth charge boom was awesome. Please don't call PITA or SPCA.
