JeffTilley johnnydoom I could, but na. My teammates at work decided we should all get together for team building every once in awhile, and we decided on .22 plinking for bragging rights. I’m the only one without this weapon of choice, so after a week or so browsing the web, I decided that Ruger was the one. It’s really a neat plinkster, and the adjustable stock will allow my wife to comfortably use it too. The scope I accidentally came across while watching YouTube. I was this ][ close to ordering a Vortex. Oh yeah, we’ve decided our ranges would be 25, 50, 100, and 150 yards. We may work in 200 😀
Bravopilot JeffTilley Looks pretty badass for a little round. Bet it is fun to shoot. Would have never thought of shooting as team building. Looks steady, almost can't miss. Enjoy.
JeffTilley Bravopilot It was an idea I brought up and the hunter/gatherers all loved it. I did it a couple times in the Navy while in the Philippines, but it was shotguns and skeet shooting. Of course we always had range time when I was with the auxiliary security force while stationed at Alameda.
Typhoon Bravopilot Would have never thought of shooting as team building. Exactly what I was thinking. Where I used to work team building consisted of 90% drunken dummies… I wouldn’t give them a squirt gun.
JeffTilley Subsonic Yeah, I think so too. Almost bought the Savage B22 precision, but read about the bullet scratch issue and decided not to. The CZ 457 was in the hunt, but no adjustable stock took it out. Well, that AND the thought of paying another $250 for an At-One stock to make it adjustable.
Rickochet Par4QC M5 driver head. Christmas tree. And you told the wife the M5 was the top ornament for the tree, eh? 😜
ptjn1201 An ancient Bridgestone Access Target XIII 9 iron head, designed by the true genius, Yuji Numazawa. I've used his VP-02 irons from 2002 for the last few years, long, easy to hit, Put in an old DTG FGS shaft, which I think was the old Prolaunch V2 clone, .335" which was odd. But gee, it's hysterically easy to hit straight and long. If I could find the 6 iron head, I wouldn't need any other irons. Perfect for a minimalist bag.
LogicalOne Pair of Ecco Boa golf shoes that will fit my new braces in them. Looks like I’ll be making a little shift from Nike to Ecco. 😬🙂
Typhoon LogicalOne Ecco’s are super nice. Wife got me a pair for my birthday for some reason, continued to give me crap about playing, I wore them once on my birthday and they’re down the cellar with everything else. Although only one round, they were sweet on the feet.
Sneakylong https://www.srixon.com/us/q-star-tour-divide.html Bought two dozen of these (yellow / orange) yesterday at Golf Galaxy. They only had red Srixon Soft Feels (not even any whites) which is my regular ball at $21.99. I played one of the Q Star Tour Divides that one of my golf buddies found awhile back. It has a funky look to it when putting and chipping. Other than that the Srixon Q Star Tour is a nice ball for slow to moderate swing speeds with a low 70's compression (3 piece). Normally too expensive at $32.99, but I had $49.00 remaining on a Visa gift card so I decided to splurge. lol
JeffTilley Friday I ordered a Riton X1 6-24x50 scope, Riton high scope rings, a Riton sunshade for the scope, a hard shell rifle case, a bore sight kit, a Wheeler torque wrench, a UTG M-lok bipod, and a pair of club racks to mount those ISI irons on my shop wall. I ordered the Riton scope instead of the Blackhound because I realized I didn’t need first focal plane and illumination. I still need to get a more vertical and rubbery AR-15 grip, some gun lube and/or oil, and a couple small things to finish dressing out the wee 22. May also get a fake suppressor for the tacticool look.
backinit JeffTilley I have a 1-4 first focal plane scope. I hate it. Can't see squat at 1x......it's ok at 4x. I wish I didn't buy it at this point, but it will have to do for now.
