Hi sukkeun, I've been a long time fan of shortening the flat stick. Obscure thoughts...
At first, I imagined that shortening the putter meant that I needed a little extra head-weight or lead powder low in the shaft? After many failed experiments, I found short putter + backweighting = 😍.
I forget the putter brand, but one-time the taper on the shaft was narrower than any other putter I had/have cut down. At 33", it left a small gap between the grip opening and shaft. Highly unlikely, but you might want to double-check if aesthetics is a thing.
Are you already having success gripping down on the putter? In case you haven't experimented already, heads up, you might need to adjust the lie angle and/or your set up after the change. I've always preferred center-shafted putters, so I adjusted the setup... or the shorter putter fit my preferred address? 😉
Best of luck!
