If I remember right it was an initial 2,000 dollar order to buy in. They even had an accessory line for tees and junk to stock your shop. The idea I think was to separate the retail from the hobbyists. I don’t think there where enough retail spots to make it work. It would also have to have been supported by some kind of marketing campaign. An ad once a week on golf channel and once a month in golf digest would have helped. In store display and packaging presentation where also missing. Sounds silly but all those things matter. My mom used to make me buy nice bags to put merchandise in. She knew nothing about golf but had a women’s clothing store background and insisted a nice bag made the customer feel special and presented a good image.
