Laddie Extreme Golf Balls

Anyone play them? I played them some years back, and always liked them. They are cheap now.

I liked them years ago for what they were. I liked the original Laddie and Lady as well. They had great feel and seemed to always be on sale lol. Once my short game improved though I got snobbish about using a ball with a urethane cover.

Been afraid to try the Laddie name again. I couldn't get an original one to hold a green and haven't wanted to try any of the more recent iterations. Probably improved a lot since they first came out, but I haven't given the name another shot.

FWIW I used some of the Costco Kirkland 3-piece balls on this year's winter golf trip and they weren't half bad. For about $1/ball I couldn't complain. Not as good as the high end urethane balls, but much better around the green than inexpensive balls without a urethane cover. Their 4-piece one is better performing, but I haven't seen that one lately.

Been using them, off and on, the past few years. Used to play them all season, but have gone to just using them in the early season. They are a softer ball, thus good for cooler temps. Distance is excellent. The best 'cheap' ball on the market, imo, at <$20 for 2 dozen. Not sure why everyone here makes statements about spin when they also make statements about 'breaking 90'! LOL

Par4QC If that was me, yes I straddle 90 most days. But a 6 iron to the middle of the green that then bounds off the back of the green isn’t something I need to see from a ball. Number two was worse in that it was a 7 iron that landed closer to the front of the green and still rolled off the back into a pond. These were hard greens, but that was more than I could stand. Number 3 was better in that I gave the 11 un-hit Laddies to a playing partner and switched balls. I shot something like an 87 that day and that’s with two double bogies at the start from irons that should have left me birdie putts. If I was playing a course with open fronted greens I could adjust, but very few of the courses nearby are designed for run up shots.

My home course is always over watered, either from rain or using too much water with sprinkler system. No trouble stopping on greens. Sometimes your ball plugs 1/2 into green. They are great to putt on (not). So many ball marks and footprints that you have to slam the ball on every putt.

johnnydoom 😬..not aimed directly at you, as I've read it here countless times. Maybe I'm just not understanding how one hits a green. From more than 10 yds..😆

Par4QC I don’t do it often enough (hit greens), but when I do I want my bogey to come from an honest 3 putt😟
