Louise Wise and all those in that agency are beyond deplorable. I was thinking of the movie, "Trading Places", when they dropped the bomb that this was intentional to study them like "lab rats" as David said.
I want to know if Eddie goes ahead and kills himself if he never finds out he had triplet brothers or if he would've if he'd been with them from birth?
What else do we not know about that goes on? How many other sick experiments are happening right now? It's fuel for conspiracy theorists that they're not crazy to think the government or shadow agencies do incredibly sick things
Nature vs. Nurture. Incredible discussion based on this situation. Nature appeared to be the big winner but nurture got its props in the end. Honestly, these kids grew up within a 100 mile radius. Probably all saw the same TV shows, news, etc. Their culture wasn't that much different same for the class their family was put into. A true nurture nature would be if they were in completely different cultures. Even with that, twins and triplets are different. Is it really shocking that twins or triplets would be similar regardless of the experiment? Not to me.
That woman who liked name-dropping is worthy of a bullet. So is the creep introduced at the end. The superior attitude they displayed in speaking about their involvement incited me through the roof.
Locking up the files until 2066 at Yale is disgusting. I'm glad they've released some of the documents to the violated, but what they've released doesn't get into conclusions or what they were trying to accomplish.
If it is true that they were looking at mental health issues and Eddie killed himself someone needs to pay. David said they learned Eddie wasn't the only suicide.
How big was this study? It was intimated it ran out of money. Who was behind it? It was implied it was governmental. Undoubtedly, bigger and worse studies have been conducted and I wouldn't be shocked to learn there's several ongoing as I type.
The study stopped once Eddie was discovered as a twin. Said they ran out of money but not sure that's the case as the released notes said it was conducted until the year the first two discovered each other. They only stopped because they were found out after the meeting with the parents.
It's unreal that "by design" they put sisters in each adoptive family that were the same age so each of the triplets would have a similar experience all in the name of science. They sat and picked out an affluent family, a middle class family and a poorer family to play God with these kids AFTER specifically putting a daughter of the same age into each of these same families. To be clear, they put daughters of the same age in these three specific class families for years to get intel on how the families operated and when they were certain they were what they were looking for they separated the triplets and put one in each how they had intel from by placing daughters in there. The sickness in just that part alone is enough.
There were raw tears from my soul over this. It wasn't emotion. It was from somewhere else. The manipulation of their lives makes me contemplate how much mine and everyone else's is. We live in a world of manipulation. This was just part of the extreme variety.
I wonder if the other brother whose name escapes me will kill himself, too? He said over and over it should've been him. How do you live with knowing your whole formative life was the equivalent of The Truman Show?
I'm just still so sad and so affected. Many more questions still.
