At Custom Golf Center, I got to test several light graphite iron shafts, glued up in various heads. I pretty much hooked all of them. :/
Then James had me try a Prophet MB with FST 90, and it was a perfect tight draw starting just right and coming back. Then a Prophet CB, same shaft, same result. So okay, now we are on to something.
1) I need to start playing low offset irons. (Which I had figured out too.)
2) The ultra light shafts seem to be too light and/or tip soft for my swing.
Then he wanted to get my launch angle up, so I tried the Pinhawk hybrid 7. Hook city.
Then the React hybrid, and it went high and straight. I never would have considered that one.
So he is building me 5 & 6 Reacts, and 8-GW CB. The lofts don't mate well between the two models, so for now we are omitting the 7 iron and then we'll see. On the monitor it looked like the 6 hybrid to the 8 iron was about 12-13 yards. I might have him do a little something with lofts, although the irons are 17-4 and he would only do a degree of change.
Oh, I am getting Super Stroke Cross Comfort grips, oversized. The sample felt firmer than oversize Winns.

He is also building me an arm lock putter using an InaZone head.
For a clubmaker, James is a young guy. His prices are very reasonable, and he does internet orders too.
