The modern i series are pretty forgiving for their size, but they are smaller than any G series club. I had a set if i20 irons that I played well from the 8i thru wedges. Maybe a combo G400/i210 set?

I don't mind the cavity design, but agree with Rickochet - that number stamp makes it look like a cheap knockoff imo.

Never a doubt on John's ability. He's just confirmed my suspicion that the G410 is very similar in performance to the G400.

If u are itching...Rick's idea of a combo set isn't bad since I like a thinner sole on the short irons. I don't know how I feel about that. I know when I played in Orlando a few times the other year I had the Ping G irons as rentals and they were fine on full shots but " touch" shots, the wide sole I didn't like.

Money wise... The i.e.-1, i200 and i210 I see no difference in feel or performance They are all made with 431 stainless steel. Soft and as you've seen with my i.e.-1's, can be made to look like new with a scotch brite. The only thing I didn't like about mine was the cavity...I was ready to get the i200's just because I hated the cavity so much. Not that I stripped the blue color off, I don't have an issue.

Only itch is to populate the VA bag to avoid lugging my shit back and forth. Torn between clubs that I know I play well with (G400) and having something different to play with during spring/summer. I have some store credit from Christmas at the VA store. We're on a plane to VA now for our 9th grandchild's baptism, so I'll have a few days for shopping.

Caved in today and ordered an identical set of G400 irons for the VA bag. I just plain trust them. PING got it right when they made these. Gonna make a real effort to stop being an iron whore, now that i have real $ invested. It's EZ to ho when you're only paying $12 for iron sets.😎

I have my G400's extended to my preferred length and can't wait to smack them.

My desire to play well is overcoming my desire to try new clubs. My handicap is dropping and I'm winning more cash since sticking with these irons. If I get the urge too bad, I'll toss my Eye 2s in the bag........or I can ho drivers. 😎

Nice Unc! The way I look at it is, would I rather pay $100 on a meal or $100 on a set of irons? I can get deli sliced turkey for $4-$5 a pound and cheese is pretty cheap too. 😁

The more I sit both the 400 and the 410 down side by side...there is almost zero difference. Anyone should just save some cash and get the 400 on close out.
