Watching the info mercials on the golf broadcast I got to thinking, I can’t remember ever seeing an info mercial for a set of irons. Just drivers, fairways, chippers and wedges. Can anyone remember a set of irons?

Not a set. Seems like I remember an iron that had a head on a swivel so you could set any angle you wanted.

It must be the price point, I can't imagine anyone buying a set of iron , sight unseen for between $400 and $1,000.If you look, most single club infommercials never are priced above $200, usually around $100. Every one I've gotten fished into was crap, starting with the Perfect clubs up to Aaron's assortment of junk.

I think besides price it has to have a "hook." There has to be something technologically different that sets them aside from all others. That would be a tough thing to do for a full set of irons. Perhaps a set of single length irons if priced low enough might work. Or the "Perfect Iron." I think the general public knows little about SL and a media blitz with a cheap set while Bryson is on a roll might work.
