Boomer Esiason went off on the officials at half of NE v. KC. Heartened that someone in his position would do that. That's all anyone should talk about when it comes to that game. I wouldn't even mention the Rams going to the SB, I'd just focus on the fact the Saints were screwed. It isn't about the Rams. It's about the officials stealing a game when stealing it puts the 2nd biggest market in the SB in a town that is football depressed about to open the jewel of the NFL as a stadium. Anyone who thinks there's no connection and doesn't like conspiracy theories, etc. doesn't understand all that changed on that play.
The NFL made a mistake going to Los Angeles. Nobody cares about football there. Put a team in the big game and that changes. A lot of impressionable youth now want to jump on bandwagon along with a lot of adults. This changes so much for the L.A. football market. It's a two week commerical now for football in Los Angeles.
Oh, and Rex...I don't gamble. All I lost was legitimacy of sport. I watch plenty of sports. Worked in sports broadcasting for years. Go look around and see the deafening roar from players in this game who have ripped the NFL for this. It's an illegitimate win. It always will be.
