We have a very successful golf store here in the Louisville area. The owner is very knowledgeable and moves a lot of clubs. He recently told me he is now in the top 10 brick & mortar stores in moving Ping equipment for the USA.
I dropped in about 3 weeks ago to just browse and check his used club area. He takes clubs in trade and has a good selection. I have been looking for a specific club (FW) I would like to add to my set. I noticed he had raised his prices at least 20 - 30% across the board.. I asked one of the workers about it. His reply was the used market for good equipment has taken a solid move up in pricing. When I asked why, his comment was if I had seen the pricing of new clubs.
A specific club I noticed was my RBZ driver, which I really like and paid $50.00 for at this shop with a nice matching head cover about 3 years ago. I noticed it was priced at $90 in his shop without a head cover, nice condition, but not better than the one I purchased. I was in the area a couple of days ago, dropped in and noticed the RBZ was gone.
