sdandrea1 That's why OEMs make "wedge" flex shafts.
Based on 35.5 inch lengths and 300g or less weight and basically nothing special at all.
Based more on waste not than actual "design", imo.
The extra weight will affect the flex on even half swings.
It is noticeable so it depends on how you like the feel of a flexing wedge shaft or if more rebar like feel is your thing.
If it's too soft, you will get some funny ball flights on full swings, and lose consistency as well.
I can't recommend a tip trim because I am unfamiliar with the FST 115 in wedges, but I would guess they play semi soft as per the manufacturer trim chart.
