God...where do I start with this. I posted somewhere on here where a month ago I finally decided to shorten my swing. Starting with the irons because I flip the clubface at impact.
So I was talking to my pro that I work for and he said I have to shorten my backswing. I end up at the top of my swing with the weight more on my front foot, first sign of a reverse pivot. From there you come over the top and flip the club at impact. I don't " fall back" away from the ball but I flip it.
What I have done is feel like I'm swinging half way back...that actually puts me 97% to parallel. I watch it on video. And make sure I transfer my weight to my right side. Actually just being shorter gets my weight to the right side automatically. The overswing was pulling my weight left instead of right. I then think of compressing the ball at impact like I want to hit the ball low. That helped my angle of decent with the clubhead, got my weight travelling through to my leftside.
I lost NO distance, have better control...everything is straight, and everything is soooo solid its amazing.
