DC300 I got fitted for my whole bag including the driver and 3w a few years ago and even revisited the driver, but the problem is mainly in my swing. Some rare days I hit the driver long and straight and usually when I do I can't hit my other clubs. My theory is that when I hit the driver well, I'm swinging flatter and hitting up into the ball, but then I'm swinging too flat for my irons. I'm not steep by any means as I don't usually take much of a divot. On the extremely rare days when I hit all clubs well, I feel like I have a flatter swing with the longer clubs.
I really like the fitter I went to, but we do disagree on some areas on clubfitting. I find I prefer a heavier head and a backweight in the driver, but when I'm in his place on the launch monitor that doesn't bear out. I can't argue with the data except that when I get out on the course I can't hit that lighter club as well.
I argued I should have the Devotion in the driver, but on the launch monitor it didn't work as well as an Accra FX360 shaft did. I much prefer to hit balls at the range and adjust, but his belief is that you should just swing and not adjust to anything. All I know is that on the course I can nuke (for me) the 3 wood, but not usually the driver. At my home course it's not a big deal. The course is so narrow it's all about hitting it in play. I generally draw the 3 wood and fade the driver so I use one when I can't miss right and the other when I can't miss left.
