Yeah, same with me. First thought was "that felt weird" followed by the club wrapping around my neck like a drunken octopus looking for a date.
There was however one instance several years back when I was playing at a local club... the course used colored rocks as tee markers, and it was a short hole that required me to fit my draw into tight quarters into the narrow fairway. So with me being a lefty, I teed the ball up as close to the right tee marker as possible, I was standing outside the tee box at address.
Turns out the ball was a little too close to the stone tee marker. lol... the inside heel of the club caught the edge of the tee marker stone, and it felt like I'd been struck by lightening! LOL. I felt this electrical gyration in my right arm, and thought for sure I'd just been struck with a bolt of lightening. lol The tee marker survived, but my club face didn't. Not something one wishes to brag about, my idiot moment in golf.
Trust when I say that I've never done that again since. 😝
