jazzus Yes, Elta, that's what it was. I'm not sure what kind of clubs they made, but, like you say, they went out of business some time ago. I did a search on their name and saw a legal battle between them and a US manufacturer regarding trademark infringement. Considering that the case made it all the way to the Canadian Supreme Court, it's possible that the legal costs might have had something to do with their demise.
I still think I'm going to shaft these up and try them. I think Elta may have also produced Classic heads. I may be wrong about that, but the guy's inventory had a few of these heads in it, too, and I can't find anything about them either, so I suspect they came from this defunct manufacturer. All I know about the Classic heads is that the guy had a 7-, 9-, and 11-wood built on IRod shafts in his inventory. I decided to try the 7-wood in place of my 4-iron, just to see what it was like (mainly because I love IRod shafts). That thing is NEVER coming out of my bag! I gave the other two to my dad and he says the same thing about them.
