sdandrea1 I totally agree. I went and read about six pages of gary's Golfwrx thread, and it was quite interesting. However, I can't imagine trying to generate a swing this way, even if I can see some of the benefits to it. Sparks' approach is way more natural and "fun" for me.
One other thing that bothered me a bit about Gary's thread on GolfWrx was the immediate dismissal of Kiran Kanwar's swing/approach. I'm not sure who preceded whom, but the Venetos and Kanwar's approach are almost identical. I wonder whether one stole from the other or if they came to the same conclusion independently. (Hey, anything's possible: Leibniz and Newton came up with Calculus independently.) However, it seems like some of the people were willing to give Venetos the benefit of consideration and immediately dismissed Kanwar. Was it because she was Indian? A woman? A middle-aged woman whose body doesn't look or move like her younger self?
Yes, Kanwar's delivery is quirky and unpolished, but her credential are SOUND: Class A member of the LPGA, GPA, PGA and NGA of India; 16 years Biomechanics research; Bachelors of Science in Physics and Mathematics; a personal trainer; a winner of the India's Ladies National Championship; Columnist for Golf Digest India. Sound like she's about as good of a source as any.
