He plays his single length irons (37.5") at a 73 lie angle. That is about 10 - 11 more upright than a standard club of the same length. "Way upright" is absolutely correct, but I think most of us would think in the range of 4 - 5* as being "way upright."
Bryson will turn 25 on Sept 16th. Based on his swing which he seems able to repeat with a growing degree of regularity and his improved putting, I think he is going to be around for a long time at the upper echelon of the PGA tour. Personally I really enjoy watching him play. He is intense, but does not come off as self centered or a Prima donna. The European thing was blown way out of proportion by the press. The player involved took no offense and said he enjoyed playing with Bryson and liked him.
