For those who may not know, I reached out to Mr. Bill several years ago as I was trying to put together a fundraising outing for a local athlete who was suffering from ALS (and still is). Although I couldn't generate enough interest for the event to continue pursuing it, Dr. Bill was still very open to coming and making a guest appearance. When I informed him that the event had been canceled, he seemed very sad to hear.
I just hope we realize how lucky we are, how blessed we are, to have such a compassionate and knowledgeable person here who adds to the quality of life, whether its there where he lives, or elsewhere, or here on the Buzz. And not just as it pertains to golf, but more importantly as it pertains to life.
