If you're looking for a new phone I have a couple of suggestions...I just got a new Essential PH-1 (Ph-one) get it?
I spent mid 200s for a brand new flagship quality device that runs stock android and is upgraded to Android Pie 9.0
If you hate notches this one does have a teardrop notch but I love the screen to body ratio and zero bloatware and logos on the phone. It's minimalist and fast.
The thing might be going over to Swappa.com because I'm downgrading in size. The Essential only has a 5.7 inch screen and it's oddly configured making it look very very small even though screen is taller it's not as wide. Plus, the battery isn't going to last 2 full days on this one like my last one and it's hard making that transition.
The Umidigi Z2 and Z2 pro are compelling devices. Big display. Good battery. Mid 200's. Only issue is you have to go to ebay or buy off grey market sites like gearbest.
I'm waiting for the 6.5" Honor 8x to be released next month or November. It's 6.5" and has a sister phone that may not be coming to the states that is over 7" ....the thing looks incredible. The Honor 8x Max is what that one goes by. These are mid 200 dollar devices that work for someone like me who likes huge displays and loves long battery life and low prices.
I'll never understand paying 800-1200 for a phone. The Essential PH-1 debuted at $700. It was panned when it came out due to software issues that have been resolved. The story behind the phone is interesting which is something I gravitated toward.
You can find it on Amazon.com for a little over 300...they've run some flash sales that have dropped price into mid 200's. It has 3 colors, white, black and gray...gray is the Amazon variant and the one I have. Every single issue I've read about this phone is a non issue for me. Just a beautiful phone and, again, F A S T.
If you need a new phone take a look.
