I'm 6'6" tall, so whenever I Ho a used club (getting more and more often, as I get older and cheaper!), I usually wind up extending the shaft. With steel shafts it's easy and free, obviously, to use a broken shaft cut off at the right step to fit in the end of the shaft. But, I'm at the age now where I'm using almost exclusively graphite in
woods, irons, hybrids, etc. Those extenders that used to cost $.99 or $1.25 now cost $2.50 from Golfworks, and I find that I never have one when I need one.....
Has anybody come up with a suitable substitute for a homemade graphite shaft extender??? Can you use a steel
extender epoxied in the butt of the shaft, or will that screw up the weight???
