Should Bang do an SL iron? We want to do 5 thru PW...maybe a DW...Maybe. Can have them with new tooling in 45 days to 60 days TOPS. Will price right...Not as good as PinHawk but mucho better than Wishon.
I have all the specs and casting material in place. Do you think it is going to die...like really fast OR continue on this year and next year? We are talking a fairly large investment. So think it over before you answer.

If you have all the preparation steps done then do it quickly.
Bang wants to capture the first narrow segment of market share.
How soon will Bang recover the sunk cost ? This should be the determine point of whether a green light to go or not.
Anyone done any estimate on projected sales volume say, in the 2016-2017 ? Bang could estimate their projected market share from the total projected sales volume. Who knew ? It might take off like a hot cake then everyone start using a single length irons. The whole set might have similar length including the driver and woods ( like 1920's)
But again, this might never take off like other iconic innovation in golf equipment industry.
If more Pros. using the S.L. in golf tournament to earn their living will be a big booster for the concept. The single length concept is still being viewed as the tools for beginner golfers. It's a concept sold to those believing this will simplify the golf swing.
My prediction is this has a very narrow window for test market since it's such a break away from main stream.
I'm waiting for a set that I can adjust the weight on do I can build a two length set, if you put that out yes, build it. If not, you are pissing into the same wind everyone else is. Maybe you can position yourself as a step up from the Pinhawk and less cost than Wishon, but if Cobra jumps in, both lose a lot of market share in a big hurry. So to me, it's stand out or don't waste the effort.

When will we try the 14 length set ?
There's always one in the crowd huh? I see the benefit of making a 7-4 iron in the 7 iron length, but what makes me want to swing a wedge at 7 iron length? I'll take an 8 or 9 iron length on down to the wedge because I don't like a super short wedge anyway. Just give me a weight port and I'll play over here quietly.
I started to pay attention to the single length concept recently, discovered there are definitely more to this than just the PinHawk. There are a bunch of guys offering golf clubs with single length concept and some club makers took all 6 iron heads and bend them to different loft to make a set of 4-PW, this guy is doing all 38" length.
Some are making the 2 length set like DC300 is trying, All irons are 35.5" and 3 & 5 woods are 40"...... Some are all hybrid heads with single length shaft......In short, a lot of going on.
I'm making a set of Maltby KE4's with the weight ports at a 9i head weight and 8i finished length.
Adding weight to the lighter heads using tungsten powder and having to drill port holes in the
heavier Maltby M wedges...that part is a PITA.
So far they feel pretty good,only tried the 8,9 and sw just to see how they feel/play.
Haven't adjusted the lie's yet,but they'll probably be all at 62°
If Bryson or somebody on tour has some success with the SL iron's,could be next big batch of kool aid
that the masses may jump on....without knowing jack about the theory or how it works.

O' and Almo....get with the program and make some SL sticks!! 
I would say from a business school model stand point to save your money.
But, on the other hand there isn't much innovation right now or anything really exciting out there, so why not?
While I do think the SL iron from the 3 -8 has merit, convincing the general golf public isn't going to happen from a smaller company. I think if you are going to do it, to get your product out now and if Cobra DOES push the single length you already having a modicum of these will lead those to you who want to give it a try and being that you already have an iron in the fire, you could ramp up production immediately. If it is inevitable that Cobra is going to do this and I think they will, the time is now.
If that SL player were to win something, they would go through the roof, because it would have to be the clubs, right??? wink!
Targeting the tinkerers and club building shops could do well. I would build a 5-8 set of SL irons to try.

IMO a set of heads with way less offset would sell well. All the current offerings have way too much.
The length is part of the fitting process. We would offer heads only. It's up the the fitter to determine what length works best.
My initial thought is the better Bryson does, and the longer he does it, the better the concept will sell. But if he doesn't make any more leaderboards, it will disappear just as fast. Simple, I know. But it's just my $.02. Regarding pdx's post, I would love to see more options in the reduced offset area. And even fewer of them are LH avail...
I vote for single length high loft woods & hybrids with offset for us hackers

Personally, I'd like to see some SL players irons. Most of what is available is "game improvement" type stuff with clunky looks and offset. The Edel set Bryson played were players clubs, raw, with minimal offset. They were sweet looking. I'm not a fan of chunky irons at all.
Make a clean set with minimal offset and make them available in lefty and I'd grab some.
To that note... if there were a clean, raw set of forged irons available in lefty , (SL or not), I would game them.
