Which golf vacation destinations always seem to tick all of your golf boxes? And which areas seem to go above and beyond with customer service?
I've never had a bad experience in Myrtle Beach.... personal favorite is just south of Myrtle Beach in Pawleys, Caledonia. It's $$$$ on the greens fee scale. Others include Grande Dunes in Myrtle, and The Barefoot Love course in Myrtle.
Played TPC Myrtle Beach back several years ago and it wasn't in great condition and it took 5 hours to play. Enjoyed the layout, but the conditions (at that time of year - summer) and no enforcement of pace of play didn't exactly help the layout live up to expectations.
I will say, however, that the Granddaddy Course at Pine Lakes (after the restoration several years back) was very enjoyable. Not sure about now, but back then it was one of the better courses in the Myrtle area.
