I've enjoyed it the few times I've played. I don't consider it to be a good substitute for golf, but it is a fun competition in itself. I do like the fact that there is very little cost involved. I can't compare it to golf mainly because the penalties for bad shots on the courses I've played aren't as bad as they are in golf. You don't usually need to deal with a lost disc or unplayable lie. I haven't seen many courses, but the ones I've played didn't even have out-of-bounds areas. Pretty much if you can get to your disc you can play it. Also, and again I've only played a couple of courses that had the hanging chain baskets, but touch doesn't really come into play. That is compensated somewhat by the need for vertical precision as well as directional, but for me that is much easier to control than distance is.
