Best thing to do when any clubs are misbehavin is put a replacment set alongside them in the car for a week...that'll straighten them out..clubs talk to each other, there is fear of being banished to the basement.
I had the Taylormade irons in my bag and the Ping I in the basement to start the season. Taylor's were awful. I threw the Pings in the truck too. I switched them out in the bag. I imagine the Pings told the Taylor's Hahahaha. But just to be pricks and teach me a lesson, the Pings performed only slightly better.
I then traded in the Taylor's for a set of Ping I25. Can u imagine...the Ping I laughing and saying " adios mofo" as a took the Taylormades out at the store. Now the Pings think they are safe...but noooo...a half hour later the trunk reopens and to the horror of the Ping I irons, a set of its older brother, the Ping I25 settles in next to them.
So now there has to be real fear in the Ping I world. Pings knew the Taylors would never survive...hell, it happened once before same scenario. But now a set from the same family, only one generation difference!!!???
Since then, the Ping I have been automatic. What might have helped was taking both 7 irons to work on the monitor and having nearly identical numbers. I bet the Ping I told the rest of the bag to step it up because both sets are too close for comfort.
This morning I put my old Ping I15 5 wood in the trunk...I need my Taylormade FW to see that and start to see the light.
