Bigborgel A word of warning, if you are blowing off a Winn grip, be sure to use a piece of PVC tubing over the grip. For some reason, Winn's have a propensity to throw a "bubble" along the grip, and it will explode,. The PVC will capture the explosion.
It never hurts to use a protection tube. I use a clear Lexan tube that allows you to see what the grip is doing. But, I have done hundreds of Winns without any exploding. Perhaps that is because I do most the oversize Winns. Plus I seldom do any grips that have not been blown on which always come off easier than a grip applied with double sided grip tape. Anymore if I get a get a grip that I have blown on myself I will just cut it off and blow the new one on.
For those having issues with blown on grips twisting you are probably not using enough tape. Also, some grips that have been blown on and off several times can stretch a bit and will require more tape.
