Out for a later round last night at about 545, catch up to my buddy on hole 5 (I played back first), ask him what the yardage is as he is meticulous with his laser, 126 he says. Tees are up, pin front just left of center. I pull a GW and hit a shot that looks perfect in the air and I say "go in". Lands just short, one hop just past the pin and spins back in. My buddy and I celebrate with a high five.
The offending club-
Alpha RX-1, Apollo Stepless Steel, Lamkin REL 360 midsize with some build up, 35.75", 1* flat. I have been testing the rx1 and rx2 GW's from Value Golf, as I am looking for some irons, especially wedges that have a blunted leading edge and both the Alpha's have that with the rx1 being a bit more pronounced. Both easy to hit, with the rx1 ithe current leader in the clubhouse😎
