I should have paid attention to the label on the goose island....I saw barrel aged and Stout and popped a chubby! It's an Islay Scotch barrel aged Stout. I like scotch, but not Islay's...like licking an ash tray.....totally overpowers the beer....once it warmed up a bit, it was stomachable......but yeah a bit much for me.
KBS is amongst my favorite beers of all time....picked up a growler of it from 8th St. Ale House in Sheboygan for my annual March madness event and treated my guests. 34$.....they had CBS on tap and I had a 10 oz. Poor while waiting, holy sh1t is that good.....40 per growler😲, so i passed on it.....right now, enjoying some Whiskey Business from Badger State Brewing-
Preceded by a Double Dubious Dark Roast, coffee imperial stout. There Dubious rufian is another staple of mine, the imperial coffee is stellar. Ahhh, if I could only work part time, and golf full time, followed by drinking good beer!
