Being that it's playoff hockey, I bet they had limited options as NBC carries them in the states....fox has a zillion options, as would abc, being affiliated with ESPN....and during March madness cbs has tnt, tbs and Tru.....I don't think NBC has the same kind of setup, hence TGC gets overtaken for some air time.
I pretty much only watch TGC when actual Golf is on, otherwise the programming stinks....the big break was ok, playing lessons was decent, some of the old wonderful world of golf duos was cool, but the instructors, and most of the talking heads on TGC are average at best. The only guys worth listening to are Chamblee, Duval and occasionally Nobilo....and Chamblee used to be a horses ass, he has gotten way better. I think their talking points during the majors are the best, even better then the major network guys.....I forget, does NBC have any of the majors? Masters=CBS, US Open= fox, The Open=abc/ESPN, and PGA??? I think NBC used to cover the us open.
