Here's my report on the Big Final. 201.9g head weight. 1.50" bore. 12 deg. marked loft 12.5 deg. actual loft .075 deg closed face angle on my l/l gauge. Mated to a Swing Science 200 Series "A" flex 66.9g one reason to use the "A" was the full insertion depth of 1.50"s which proved correct in my assumption as @44 5/8" playing length D-2 swing weight or 2802 kg-cm2 MoI toe down with a PURE Red Wrap grip. It came out to 242 cpm.
Hit 15 new range balls Wed. 75 deg. temp low wind. Performance average at best very clangy tinny sounding driver head. Sound to me equates performance. I am always big on sound. Most were slight draws average distance nothing uber impressive to note though at 69 my driver club head speed is down to 86 mph. Fairly forgiving but what modern 460cc driver with high forgiveness factor isn't these days. No push rights or fades either straight or draws and one pull. Part is face angle and part is the shaft which I have used a lot as it fits me well and won't break the bank.
To compare the BF I used a newer build Swing Science FC-One Plus 14 deg. driver .050 deg. closed face angle on a SS FC-One Fifty 55.2g, @44 5/8", D-0 swing weight or 2771 kg-cm2 MoI toe down, 235 cpm with a PURE Blue Wrap grip.. In general the sound of the FC-One Plus was much better a sounding driver with it's face and body of 6-4 Titanium. My average launch angle of 14 degrees with this better over all performing head was much better than the BF. It's as forgiving if not slightly more and most shots were straighter with higher launch and better carry. Part of that being shaft. I imagine, I will move BF to sales bin list on local craigslist for cheap. Good cheap experiment. You can not determine if you don't try. 😁
