Augusta National is fairly staunch in their rules as it pertains to spectators. No cameras, no cellphones. And although they do sell alcohol, they've never had much of an issue in recents years with fan behavior in the galleries (that we know of anyway). Of course, these aren't cheap tickets. They cost a lot. And to get them usually requires a lottery, outside of the typical corporate standing-order acquisitions and grandfathered-in ticket holders. It's a sizable investment. Just checked on stub hub and the least inexpensive ticket option I came across was $3500, for both Thursday and Friday rounds.
But given the social aspects of just how much has changed in pro golf over the years as it relates to fan behavior - could that change this year? Will there be an incident (or two) this upcoming week where a fan or two gets ejected for not honoring the Masters "code" as it relates to fan behavior?
And if it does happen, will we know about it?
Probably not.
