Neither is correct, and neither is incorrect. Avoid the inherent confusio by referring to that side of the bed using a more permanent description - the window side, the door side, my side, your side, etc.
It is a cute conundrum, but this is precisely why you don't say there's a dent in the "left side" of the car - you'd say driver's side to avoid the inherent confusion caused by perspective.
Also, hooks/slices don't go left/right. They go inside and outside the target line - direction depends on the orientation of the golfer. Avoids the confusion caused by perspective.
