I have played two rounds with the G15s. They are definitely more forgiving than the I3s. Half a club longer, too, maybe more in the longer irons. Flew the 6-iron a little past 170 on a par 3 yesterday. That's traditionally been my 160 club. I had been playing 5-PW but I can bag the 4-iron with this set. Crazy good forgiveness off the toe. On one shot WAY off the toe I missed the green well right and could not believe it was still pin high.
I do wish there was less offset. The assumption that most golfers who benefit from forgiving irons also fight a slice does not hold for me. Perhaps that's my next quest. Max forgiveness irons with fairly low offset. 🙂
Experimenting with the two sets of Pings has also reinforced how good the Snake Eyes 685OS iron heads are. While not quite as forgiving as the G15s, they pack quite a bit of it in a noticeably smaller head size.
