PA-PLAYA Everyone here bows before your NFL knowledge and informative greatness. But again - this ain't about all of the other moving parts.
And let me cut off your rebuttal at the pass, because you're gonna now go on the offensive saying that all of those moving parts ultimately determine a QB's success.
We're talking about who would you rather have behind center: Garoppolo or Foles?
"The play stands as called..."
No need to get snarky. You know me well enough to know I won't 'get off' the reductionist perspective.
To your original question, it seems you're wanting to compare apples and oranges. One guy's a proven commodity. He can be streaky hot - as he displayed in 2013 and most recently against both the Vikings and the Patriots. (Hell, it's conceivable that the Eagles may have lost to the Pats had Carson Wentz been playing.) But, I think his greatest value is with good systems and established teams. Still, he's not worth $137.5 million.
But, I don't believe Garoppolo is worth near that amount of money! That's just obscene for an unproven commodity. The Niner's may rue the day...
