Unfortunate that this even needs to be discussed. This is like spitting on someone who gets a silver medal in the Olympics.
Made it to 8 championships and won 5 is better than going to 4 and winning 4. It's cute to say you're "undefeated" in championships, but what should really be considered is that every team that didn't make it gets a loss in the championship too, and not being there at all means a 0% chance of getting the win.
Going 0-4 like Buffalo did is brutal and sounds funny and futile in hindsight, but they gave themselves chances to win. I'd rather miss 10 birdie putts than not even have a chance at one.
Silver medal is pretty fucking good. Teams, or people that think they're better off not making it at all, give me a break.
You'd rather have 50% of a watermelon than 100% of a grape. 5 wins is more wins than 4 wins, and having a chance to win is infinitely better than not getting there at all in terms of achievement (not necessarily in draft picks.)
