New - Alpha Vx adjustable driver, fairway wood, & hybrid

Looks like Alpha has some new adjustable equipment out this year. Just saw them on their website. Look like some pretty nice stuff. Intrigued

Looks like nice stuff and I have a couple Alpha drivers. The question is the price. Can’t be more than a built OEM adjustable at a place like Rock Bottom.

I like the looks of them, too -- pretty deep face on the hybrids. Wish they had the hybrid in 16, though I'm getting to the age where those lower loft hybrids don't do me a lot of good, but I still think they will

Damn...$309 MAP price on a freaking HEAD!?!? That's outrageous these days when you can get last years OEM heads for half that brand new, and a new 3-4 year old head for <$100. My dealer price isn't much better, still close to $200.

Don't get me wrong, I love Alpha heads - 2 of my favorite drivers of all time are the V2 and the C830.2 Plasma. But even at my dealer cost I'm still looking at $300 assembled with a good shaft. NFW.

I would agree - $300 for a new head is crazy - thats pretty well the same price you can get new model OEM heads for. For example, I think the new Ping g400 heads generally sell for around $250-$275 on ebay from reputable sellers - why the hell would you buy a new Alpha head, or any component head versus a new Ping or other OEM head for the same price? IMO, a new component head would have to retail around $100 for me to consider it - which I wouldn't anyways because OEM stuff depreciates so quickly, but thats another story lol.

These heads can’t cost these component guys more than 50 or 60 bucks.

I’d THINK about a component head at $175 and that’s a huge stretch, $309??? GTFO. I hope all 12 that get sold are the best drivers ever.
