I have a chance to demo the new as yet unreleased Golfworks putter. I think it’ll be called Xtreme. It’s based off of the Xtreme model from 10 (?) years ago, but a much better design aesthetically and feel and sound.
My initial impressions
Great feel, no more “ting” that the old model had. Nicely milled face contributes to that I’m sure. Sets up nicely behind ball, silly forgiving, looks BIG but the face is a tad over 4” so not huge.puts a great roll on the ball.distance control was really easy, easiest of any putter I’ve used in ages. I am Currently playing a red spider and that is my only beef with it. Distance control is not as easy as I wish it were. That alone makes this a very nice option for me when it finally comes out.
They’re supposedly coming out with a smaller Tour version that alone makes this very nice option for me when it finally comes out. Too.
