Weirfan Plus at almost 57, im moving to the forward tees this year for the tournament. 5800 yards max from now on for me
Yeah, I don't think so....😄
I am almost 60 and still play at 7000, so .......noooooooooo. 🙂
I'm with the rest of them. Pete from the forward tees - no FN way! 😃
Might be too early for course talk, but I'd love to play Quintero again! I really liked that course it when we played there a few years ago, yet somehow I haven't made it back over there since (probably because it's like 90 minutes away, LOL). Also the first tee box is like 90 minutes from the pro shop, which means I'd have to leave home a good 3 hours before tee time. 😂
Id really like that too, maybe Wickenburg Ranch as well.
I think some of the boys who stuck around after played Quinterro but is my fav course there so I 2nd your suggestion.
How about the two courses at Verrado this year
I'd be down for Verrado too! Never played there, but looked at the courses online and they look top notch.
customgolfcenter I'd be down for Verrado too!
Careful what you wish for - that's hole-in-one country. ☺
Holy hell! Take a look at what Quintero is going for these days!! 😂😂
Had some buds down a few weeks ago they paid $180 and i thought was nuts. We paid 70 ish a few years ago, less for the replay.
customgolfcenter Well, it is that crazy snowbird season........
customgolfcenter For $31 dollars more I can get a year membership at my local course.
Ridiculous, Wickenburg is a better course imo and paid just 100 to play it a few weeks ago. No course here is worth more than 150.00 but the Canadians and others come down in the winter and lay it down. 🙂 Until they stop us locals will always be screwed this time of year.
RobertThomas It's also an hour further away, hence the lower price. Not many people in Phoenix are willing to drive 1-2 hours for a round of golf, when there are hundreds of courses within 20 minutes in any direction.
RobertThomas wickenburg is a long trip , probably be good long dayof golf for the KY boys.
Damn Canoodlians! 😉
Well, i have been down a few times in Winter but we ( me and locals) always played the reasonably priced and out of the way courses. Dont recall ever paying more than $60 and that 60 was for a good course in Poston Butte.
think of how much my rich Countrymen add to,your local economy in winter as you rape them and they smile.
Weirfan Poston Butte is cheap because of where it is, too. About 1 hour+ away from the heart of the valley. Even Bear Creek by me is $60-$70 on the weekend and that's an average course at best. You can play it for $20 including breakfast and a beer in the summer! 😂
Its 30 minutes more from my house, so I have no problem paying 100.00 for Wickenburg Ranch opposed to 260.00 for Verrado . I will play anywhere, Tucson, Prescott, Payson, if the course is nice! Hell, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, etc. for that matter. 🙂
Anyway, who cares how overpriced the courses are now....because they sure as hell aren't for DS in Septemeber! 🙂
FauxAmish You will be missed, Pat! 😔
RobertThomas I will play anywhere, Tucson, Prescott, Payson, if the course is nice! Hell, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, etc. for that matter.
Even Colbert Hills in Manhattan, KS? 😙
Sure, when I am visiting my daughter. 🙂
Following, hoping to be able to play a few days up in the big city this year too. Kind of depends on kids after school schedules. FauxAmish I hate that we won't have another Hoosier out here to beat up on these Westerners, but I will fight the good fight for you. @rangerx I need to catch up with you while you are out here. Missed you last year. Looking forward to seeing all you guys again!
